lyrics

Here I go again just when I said it was the last
This private crucifixion crimes of passion from the past
Another day a gutter night of pain and agony
A guilty Flying Dutchman sentence suffering for me
But life goes on and on and on and friends all come and go
These simple facts of life are what I've come to learn and know
Another tattered page confession in my diary
A plea to leave what’s past behind and focus yet to see

For once I've peace of mind and everything appears so clear
I've conquered all my problems and confronted my own fears
My life has been a punishment until I climbed aboard
And time is but a luxury I once could not afford
My phantom doomed to sail the earth for all eternity
A guilty Flying Dutchman sentence suffering for me
The myth incarnate afterlife for all the world to see
A nightmare of a dream an alternate reality

So read my epitaph before you turn and say good-bye
You've told me that you hate me but I know that it’s a lie
For I've yet to find my purpose on this ocean cruise of life
Sometimes its paradise for me then cuts me like a knife
It reads: "Passenger and prisoner so genuine and pure
A personality so dark deceptive and obscure
Never truly free of conscience and guilty of his crime
He's dead to the world forever after lost in time"
